Modern 2-cycle engines operate at higher temperatures and with leaner fuel to oil ratios in order to meet stringent emission guidelines imposed by the Environmental Protection Agency. Engine Flush

We do not recommend installing clean oil in a dirty engine. Before switching to Amsoil we recommend that you clean your engine. Over time, performance robbing varnish and oxidized oil deposits can build up in your engine restricting the flow of oil to critical engine parts especially in the upper valve train areas.
Using Amsoils fast acting oil flush will gently remove harmful deposits that have built up over time.

Just pour one can of engine flush per 5 quart oil into the crankcase before changing oil.  Idle 15 to 20 minutes, drain and install new filter and oil. That’s it.

Oil Pre-Chargers

Upon shutting down your engine, the oil drains from the upper half of the motor back to the oil pan. Even after a short time this leads to what is called “dry engine starts”.
